About:
SURGE is a after school program by H.O.P.E. Dealers Outreach. The program operates under the direction of adult volunteers and their leaders for day-to-day business. SURGE continues to invest, develop and educate life choices of today’s young men and women.
Program began in 2021 at no cost to any youth in grades 6-12th. Here we are committed to investing, developing and educating a generation of youth in THIS community to be successful adults empowered to make a positive difference in any community. “we believe if they are treated like scholars, they will act like scholars.” We are dedicated on the real issues today’s youth encounter with life application-based lessons and experiences.
Purpose of this Event:
The curriculum element of SURGE encompass life application-based lessons and aimed at social development, educational development and productive citizenship. And with fun we aim for socially stimulating events and guest speakers from various businesses, professional fields or other community leaders.
As we kick-off our first night of the Speaker Series; Our After School Program “SURGE” is excited to have the very honorable Judge Denise Hartsfield as she will come speak encouragement to our youth. Youth will also have the opportunity to ask questions about Judge Hartsfield experience as a Juvenile Court Judge and what she plans to do as a District Attorney.
Any Winston-Salem or Forsyth County students in grades 6-12th are invited to attend.
Location:
Session will take place at the Central Library of Downtown Winston-Salem on the First Floor of the Auditorium.
Free Parking Available back of the Library or garage area.
