Speller Street Films presents Black Kung Fu Cinema, a screening series featuring Blaxploitation action films from the 1970s and 1980s.
Join us at the Pinhook in downtown Durham for a film screening of THE BLACK DRAGON’S REVENGE.
Martial arts legend Ron van Clief stars as an investigator trying to solve the mystery of Bruce Lee’s death. Rival gangs get in his way, but he’s ready for any kind of bone-breaking mayhem. From the heyday of 1970s Blaxploitation and kung fu flicks, this action-thriller demonstrates the same crude dialog and cut-rate film techniques usually found in those genres, but succeeds by having a legitimate bad ass like van Clief in the lead role.
We will also show a pre-recorded Q&A after the film with martial arts legend, Ron van Clief.
