Curious about the hype surrounding NFT’s?

On February 23, 2022 you’ll get the inside scoop on engaging in this new medium, and its benefits. Join CCE and Kevin Clark as he shares how creatives can get started producing work and earning revenue in the Metaverse. We have the pleasure to welcome Ryan Schmaltz as the moderator for this avant-garde presentation.

By attending this event, you’ll learn the basics of NFT creation and create one with Kevin and the other participants on site.

After the presentation, Kevin will be offering 4 individual (15min) 1on1 coaching session about NFT & the Metaverse. You’ll also be able to network with the guest speakers and other tech-creatives to share ideas and ask questions. Lunch will be served at 11:30am and the program begins at 12:00pm (in-person and via zoom).

Current Metaverse ambitions are centered on addressing technological limitations with modern virtual and augmented reality devices as well as expanding the use of Metaverse spaces to business, education, and retail applications.Numerous entertainment and social media companies have invested in Metaverse-related research and development. We decided to host Kevin to help creatives in our area prepare for the Metaverse and better understand NFT’s and how to make them work for you.

Kevin Clark is an artist passionate about technology and development. He is a Berklee College of Music Alumni, and Founder of the tech company, Point Motion Inc., which serves individuals who are neurologically impaired by interfacing with music. Clark’s creative background has led to multiple partnerships in developing experiences which solve problems.

Clark has invested in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency since 2017, and consults for companies such as Decentraland, The Meta Key, Polygonal Minds, Warriors of Aradena, and numerous artists to integrate their work into the metaverse. From world record breaking YouTube stars such as LikeNastya, to wholesome grassroots support to newly entering creators, Clark has helped execute meaningful and valuable product integrations to the metaverse stemming from his background in entrepreneurship.

Ryan Schmaltz will be moderating the presentation. Ryan joined the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2017 as Director of the Media and Emerging Technology Lab (“METL”). As the Lab’s founding director, he leads the lab’s overall vision, programs, operations and external partnerships. METL was founded by the School of Filmmaking and is focused on content and experience creation through emerging technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, motion capture and others.

Ryan has been at the forefront of technology since he began his career. He is a technology executive, speaker, advisor and entrepreneur. Previously, he was Executive Vice President at Blippar, one of the world’s leading companies for augmented reality and computer vision. Prior to Blippar, Ryan was an early leader at Uber and led cross-functional strategic initiatives for Uber’s executive leadership. He has also held roles at Microsoft, Adobe and Deloitte.
