Evening Lecture: Wellness Benefits of Biophilic Design

Nature’s design principles are all around us. The term Biophilia has become mainstream in the built environment of Design + Architecture. The term was made popular by psychologist and philosopher Erich Fromm, and later popularized by renowned biologist E.O. Wilson in his 1984 book, “Biophilia.” It means “love of life,” referring to humans’ instinctive fondness for plants and animals. Mona King, Founder and Chief Creative Cultivator of Mona + Associates Design, LLC, will introduce the concept of Biophilia in the home and workplace. Learn some of the benefits to our mental, emotional, creative, and physical health that are achieved by intentionally adopting biophilic principles.
