Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County

Safe, decent and affordable housing for hard working families in Forsyth County.

Building Hope by Building Homes: Steadfastly adhering to a philosophy of a “hand-up, not a hand-out,” Habitat is a powerful engine of collaboration and reciprocity whereby those who qualify– by having a history of steady income, verifiable need and a willingness to work hard– soon become involved in giving help to others. Interest-free mortgage payments go back to Habitat to help future homeowners. Through this proven and integrity-based strategy of making home ownership a reality, Habitat for Humanity has fundamentally changed lives in 90 countries, all 50 United States, and for more than 400 Partner Families right here in our community.
The Habitat Forsyth affiliate also has two ReStores which are open to the public. They sell gently-used furniture, appliances, fixtures, surplus building materials and other items at 25-75% off (or more) their regular retail price! Most items in the ReStores are donated by members of the community which saves about 400 tons of items per year from going into the landfills! All proceeds go toward building more Habitat homes. Store hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 am-6 pm and Saturday, 10 am- 5pm.
