6 pm – An opportunity to visit Happy Hill Historic Cemetery, learn about its difficult history (much of it was destroyed by Hwy 52), see the damage that needs to be repaired, and meet those trying to manage these preservation efforts. Happy Hill Cemetery and Friends of Oddfellows Cemetery also plan to have a display near the William C. Sims Center of artifacts found within these two cemeteries as well as info on African American burial traditions. (Sims Center, 1201 Alder St, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.)

Parking will be available directly across the street as the film will be shown in the Sims parking lot. Please bring your own portable chairs. Concessions will be available.
