Bookmarks and the Wake Forest University Women’s Center are pleased to present Etaf Rum in a conversation moderated by Naijla Faizi, Associate Chaplain of Muslim Life. Rum’s novel, A Woman is No Man, tells the story of three generations of Palestinian-American women struggling to express their individual desires within the confines of their Arab culture in the wake of shocking intimate violence in their community.
