Canners need to be tested every year before canning season starts. This is an opportunity for you to bring you canner lid to have it tested.

Pressure canners are used to preserve fruits and vegetables. Food safety is a priority and we want to be sure your canners are working properly. N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center is offering you this opportunity to have your canner lid tested and it only takes a few minutes. Sign up to bring just your canner lid to our office to have it tested before you start preserving this season’s harvest. We can test 2 canner lids per registration timeslot. If you need to have more than 2 lids tested, please call Virginia Lopez at 336-703-2867 to schedule a separate appointment. You will be asked Covid-19 symptom related questions upon entering our building.
